Review: Armored

I have to start by saying that I was slightly excited to see Armored. Why? I don’t really know, but I was. I didn’t think it was going to be the best movie this season, but I thought it was going to be good.

So I was wrong. Not totally wrong but just confused. Now, don’t get me wrong, the movie wasn’t horrible. I didn’t have a flashback to Year One or anything. But Armored just left me feeling empty and unfulfilled. Something was missing but I can’t say what.

All of the elements were there to be a good movie, but it just didn’t click. The actors were good. The plot was okay. But there was just something that just didn’t fit. It might be that we never really cheered for one character. Going in, we all knew that Columbus Short’s character was going to save the police officer. But by the end of the movie, I really didn’t care. I really didn’t care if he saved his house or not. There was no connection.

I suggest waiting until Armored comes out on DVD. Renting it, you can rewind and tell me why it didn’t click. Don’t waste to much of your hard earned money on this movie.
